How Do Slot Machines Work?
Slot machines are gambling machines that accept either cash or paper tickets with barcodes as wagers. If the signal is negative, a slot will continue to spin until either it reaches an empty reel or has reached its maximum position, at which point it collects coins from either its coin hopper, drop bucket, or drop box before sending them directly to a credit card reader. After the computer prints a receipt, players can collect their winnings at the cashier’s station.
